self start is not working instead of new battery. kick start is working since then but from last 2 mnths it has also some problem. sometimes it starts with single kick and sometime need 20-30 kicks. yesterday it start with single kick but after 5 min.when i again tried to start it fails. please suggest what is the exact problem.

Yoshimura r77 carbon slip-on on a 2010 Yamaha R1, is there any good/ safe way to install and make it impossible to be remove/ steal from the thief?

"Safety wire" the muffler to the exhaust.

That won’t prevent it from being stolen, but will be a deterrent
if the thief doesn’t have the tools to cut the wire.
Safety wire it in a few spots that aren’t easily accessible.
Also install a bike alarm with a motion sensor.

Rivet the 2 parts together.
The rivets will have to be drilled out to remove the muffler.
No one can get a drill on the inside
of the exhaust (section of pipe closest to the bike).

Ride your bike to a welder and have them "tack weld" the
muffler in a few spots.
Tack weld is just a spot of weld (like a rain drop).

Put LOKTITE on fasteners, will take a impact wrench to remove. available at any auto parts store for 4 dollars. guaranteed to work.

Use tamper proof bolts as a deterrent, but if a thief really wants it he’ll just steal the whole bike, as the old saying goes. locks don’t stop a thief it just slows him down.

Make sure the bolts are tight, then grind them round and pointed. Welding the joints would also work

I get on the bike, turn the key, hit the clutch and the ignition, and nothing happens. The lights come on when I turn the key, but the bike doesn’t even make a sound. Dead battery, or bigger problem?

Additionally, I just bought it, and I (excited as I was to get it) tried to ride it, with little experience. I never even left my driveway, and there were a lot of starts and stops.

Suzuki’s use a clutch safety switch a side stand safety switch and a kill switch.For the bike to start all 3 have to be working.Put the side stand up the bike in neutral pull kill switch to run pull the clutch and press the start button.If that doesn’t work check your kill switch with a ohm meter, then the clutch safety and the side stand safety.Replace broken part, try again.

No neutral light – Damaged/missing bulb, unplugged or
defective neutral light switch.

Engines will not start unless the trani is in neutral.
Without the neutral light, the engine thinks the trani is in gear.
The neutral safety switch will allow the engine to start.
The switch is at the clutch lever.
Pull in and hold the clutch lever to start the engine when
the trani is in gear.

Call and ask the person you bought the bike from for advice.

Make sure the killswitch is set to run and that the bikes in neutral. Hold the clutch and hit the starter.

Edit: Go all the way down to first. Then give it a half shift up. That’s neutral.

A hon and ring or bore , piston and rings would run about $500.00 in the the U.S ..If you like the bike , keep it and fix it .
If you don’t like it that much this is your excuse to get a new one.

How fast is this ATV in MPH is it good for a 13 1/2 yr old

My guess is around 30 to 35. But with a 250 cc quad that’s going to feel very fast and it’s going to feel sketchy!

Faster than you should go.Its fine for a 13 year old.

Hi!! As price of petrol is incresing daily ,so I am thinking to buy some electric scooter ,I don’t need a very high speed,I know about two electric scooters one is YO bike another is Hero electric.

As some people say they r not good,they again and again need service e.t.c.

ok what i advice better check there review on mouthshut i also write my review there .iusedone yo smart and using currently yo xl the highest modeli can only tell u about yobikes not other makes as in market as i know more than half dozen brands selling electric scooter etc and i dont know muchabout them
ok well first yo smart is run near 30kmph speed and xl using currently may reach to 50kmph on two person load

so lets come on topic speed ,range and capacity vary with model
but yobikes quality is not so good i tell uboth bike body is like chinease one often breaks and losen from joint without any accident in normal jerks as u know in india there is more pothholes than road and i often need to glue them every month with fevi quick
range is also not what company mention in brochure
yo xl although runs on two mode 25kmph and 45 kmph and on 25 its run 60 km max with snail speed and on 45 kmph runs 45 km
service although if u got better piece u need almost not just oil it like cycle and run
else the quality is too bad for example my on first day of yo xl its rear tyre runs heavy and alsobalance is poor i see manufacturing defect in it thats seems as misalignment is rear wheel second on right from second day its mcb trip automatically after few km and third its speedometer etc dead after some weeks and on service under warranty dealer sort out this problem but after year its speedometer dead again and in rainy season its motor get water in it due to bad seal and burned dealer charge little 400 apx charge to change it as iam not able to get free service so dealer says mayur warranty is out but we need to charge the labor etc .
no noise while run as silent as cycle is main attraction
take 8 hours to charge completely
but iam not quite satisfied although my father purchase both and now he is using it and i too for few miles but i better like to go with city bus in long run
one benfit if u have not number plate on it as some does need license u will never get traffic penality hahahha
lets do some money work
its only beneficial if u runs more than 40 km /day as wheather u run or not its battery need to be change on 2-3 years and on max 20000kmbattery life and its cost max upto 10k
if u r from rajasthan i can sell u my one its just 1.5 year old as i like bus or bike
another thing spare problem not easy to find
but u may amaze other by silently whiz from there side with this bike .

i was thinking of getting a scooter but i wanted to know if anyone knew cheap places to buy 125 cc scooters, if you could name links it would be helpful. ive checked out direct bikes but the logo is off putting on the scooter so any others?

I’d avoid cheap new scooters, a lot of the cheap Chinese import scooters are NOT built to last and the factories aren’t too hot on quality control. Everything is made in China these days but the "big name" manufacturers enforce a higher standard so they are still better. Kymco and SYM are basically okay but if I were buying a scooter myself I’d go for a Honda or Yamaha.

the scooter will be a used one if its from HONDA or PIAGGIO or another top name, what should i look out for when going to the dealers, i am 17 and im currently on a CBT provisional license. are chinese scooters really bad as everyone says they are?

chinese scooters are terrible, honestly avoid at all costs. you might want to look at vespas ( made by Piaggio), a Piaggio Zip, Gilera’s are good scooters and are really fast,

Avoid chinese, but take a look at tgb. They have a honda 125 engine, but are considerably cheaper than hondas and just as reliable.

im buying a used scooter and i was wondering whether paying ?1000 – ?1500 is a good buy on a good make scooter with 0-16000 mileage? something like the HONDA LEAD, YAMAHA VITY ?

any of the jap models will serve you well and they’ll all do up to 70mph at a push which is as much as you need for a scooter, i can vouch for the yamaha vity it’s a good fun little scoot to get around on
